Davis's first ski day!

We decided this was the year for Davis to start skiing and we took a family ski trip up to Brighton in mid-December (minus Molly). We weren't sure how Davis would like skiing in the beginning, just because typically he does not enjoy being outside in the cold and sometimes he takes a bit of persuading to do things like go sledding. Sean decided to work with him one-on-one on the bunny hill, while Jackson, Bode, and I skied together. Davis ended up doing really well! He was a bit apprehensive at first, but got into a groove and said he liked it, so we consider it a win!

He looked so cute all geared up!

One of my very favorite things in the world is to ski with my family. I hate seeing my kids grow up, but I do look forward to when all of us are able to ski together and take family ski trips. Those are some of my fondest memories of growing up.

Little America Christmas trip

One of our favorite December traditions is staying at Little America with my parents and my sister's family. We had a great stay this year and as always, loved the pool, breakfast, and walking the windows across the street at the Grand America.

I got tickets to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert, and this year we went with Emily and Dave, while my parents hung out at the hotel with all of the kids. The concert was awesome, as always, and it was a fun night out.

I don't even know how many times I've eaten at the Coffee Shop, but this place is a special place for our whole family for sure.

Checking out the window displays

The giant gingerbread house is always a highlight!

I love this tradition with my family!

Christmas happenings 2018

December was full of our usual festive activities and traditions. Here are a few of the highlights!

Gingerbread houses: I bought pre-made ones this year, and though it was a lot easier, I felt guilty about it and will probably go back to smaller, homemade ones next year (if I can plan far enough in advance!) The kids still had a great time and loved all of the candy.

Christmas dresses!

Vivint legal Christmas party up at Sundance: a great night with great food. I always look forward to this party!

School performances! Cutest little elf on the front row.

Christmas in color (Sean took the kids while I was at bunco one night): The kids liked hanging out of the sunroof as they drove through.

Going to see Santa at Cabelas: Jackson asked for a skateboard, Bode a hoverboard, Davis a bike, and Molly a mermaid.

Our festive doorstep!

And lots and lots of english toffee making for neighbor gifts:

December is always a busy month for sure, but we have a lot of fun celebrating Christmas all month long!
