Pumpkin carving

Our tradition of carving pumpkins continues! It was crazy because the kids needed minimal help this year. These are the newest masterpieces!

Sean's big job change

A major change happened for our family this year, specifically for Sean. After 17 years at Vivint, Sean closed his chapter there and moved on in a new role as Chief Legal Officer for Gabb Wireless. It was a decision he did not take lightly, and honestly had been going back and forth on for months just because he had been at Vivint so long and enjoyed his time there. He has a long history with the company, starting as a salesman, then law clerk, then attorney. He made many, many friends and mentors in his time there (though many are no longer there), and we'll always be grateful for his time there. He left very well respected and greatly missed, which is a testament to who he is. Now that he has made the decision to leave and has been at Gabb for a few months now, he and I both know it was 100% the right decision. He is so happy and LOVES his job and the people he works with. It's exciting to see him in role as Chief Legal Officer. It was his goal to be in that role by age 40 and he did it! The Gabb team is so talented and our family is big fans of their products and mission. It's an easy company to get behind and I'm really proud of Sean and happy for his enthusiasm and excitement for the future.

Here's to Gabb and new adventures and opportunities ahead!

Jackson's tennis journey to the state tournament!

Jackson waded into the world of tennis this past spring and had fun playing with a few of his friends. He decided to sign up again for the fall and discovered he really enjoys it. He ended up making it on to the varsity team and he and his doubles partner took second place in regionals and ended up making it to the state tournament!

Jackson and Sam played so well together and they did great at the state tournament. They beat a brother team that beat them in regionals, so that was a pretty awesome win for them. They went on to play a few more matches, and though they didn't win, each match was SO close. They ended up taking 4th place and I am so proud of them!

San Francisco

On to San Francisco for a couple of days! The kids loved San Francisco. We headed straight to the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove across and went to a few viewing spots and had fun taking a few pictures.

For dinner that night we headed to China town and ate at House of Nanking, which we all LOVED. They forgot our homemade noodles originally and we all laughed when the waitress went back to the kitchen and we heard her yelling at the cooks about it. The noodles were worth the wait and the rest of the food was really good.

The next morning Sean and I walked to Bob's donuts, which is a famous donut shop that happened to be a short walk from our hotel, and got breakfast.

Our hotel was so much fun. Every little detail of it was ultra designed and unlike anywhere else we have ever stayed. There was even a tiny almost hidden staircase next to the elevator the kids loved.

We headed to the Ferry Building and looked around and bought a few things, including some yummy empanadas from this place.

Molly got a cute little custom bracelet with her name on it from this guy in front of the Ferry Building.

Next we walked down to Pier 39. The kids rode the carousel and we enjoyed watching the sea lions.

Ghiradelli next, and of course we had to buy a treat!

We headed to ride a trolley next and Molly and I had to take a couple of pictures in this cute alley with all the colorful balloons!

The trolley was a huge hit with the kids. Especially Davis! You couldn't wipe the grin off of his face. We rode up a steep street and the kids all loved it. We stopped near Lombard Street and walked down.

We spent the rest of the afternoon driving around Palo Alto and checking out Stanford's campus. We drove by some famous people's houses like Steph Curry, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Young, etc.

Back in San Francisco that night for dinner! This Italian restaurant was recommended by my sister and it was awesome. We loved how walking back to our car, we happened to see some graffiti meant just for Bode!

The next morning it was time to finally head home, but we decided we'd make one more stop at Bob's on our way out of town. We'd had such an awesome trip. I am so glad we had this time to spend together and for the new memories made. Can't wait for our next adventure!
