Nursing cover and onesies

I've been sewing away lately and I thought I'd show off some of the stuff I've made.

Nursing cover for my sister-in-law Julie:

I learned how to make fabric flowers like this one and now I'm trying to find random places to put them (like my diaper bag) because I love them so much. The nursing cover (a.k.a. Hooter Hider or Udder Cover) was pleasantly simple to make. It was one of the first projects I've attempted where I haven't had to spend half of my time unpicking mistakes.

Tie onesies for Jackson and my cute nephew Adam:

I've seen something similar in the mall. Started with a plain onesie and bonded fabric cut out in the shape of a tie. Finished with a tight zig-zag around the border. Made these in a couple of colors and I LOVE them-- see model :)

Both Adam and Jackson wore the green version to church today and I must say they looked smashing ;)

Labor Day weekend

We spent the weekend in Idaho Falls and Island Park. Nothing too exciting to report, but a fun time all the same!

Highlights:

Fly fishing

Watching the big BYU game!
A trip to Virginia City and a ride on the steam train

The Eastern Idaho State Fair-- good food and people watching!

Love this picture of Sean and our niece

Hope everyone else had a good weekend. I am ready for a few weeks at home. Basically, I'm tired of packing and unpacking all of our hud!
