Tinfoil dinners

Last weekend we headed up American Fork Canyon with some friends for dinner and s'mores. We found a really pretty spot and had awesome weather.

We love tinfoil dinners. We included the traditional beef, potatoes, carrots and onions in ours. Sam and Kristol did an herb-marinated chicken that was awesome. All of our dinners cooked through-- no crunchy potatoes or carrots and surprisingly, no burning either! The best part? They were done before it was dark! :)

All the boys wanted to do was ride Sam's four-wheeler.
You can sort of see I chopped my hair off in this last picture. A welcome change!

On our way back down the canyon we saw a big bull moose-- I'm not sure why, but we tend to see a lot of wildlife when we are with the Ogdens ;)

A week in Idaho Falls

We had one niece's baby blessing and another's baptism these past couple of weekends in Idaho Falls. I decided to just stay in Idaho Falls with Jackson instead of make the drive twice. We got to spend time with both Sean and I's families and had a great time. Little Emerson's blessing was great and it was really fun to see Roxy baptized. I'm still having a hard time believing she is 8 years old!

We made it to the Eastern Idaho State Fair and it did not disappoint. In fact Jackson and I ended up going twice. Needless to say, I ate a lot of fair food--and it was good. ;)

Jackson loved the corn dogs
...and the animals
...and the merry-go-round.
Not sure what they are looking at,
...but it must have been funny!
Jumping at Erin's house with Remi

resulted in some crazy hair!

Jackson had a lot of fun following these two around.
And of course there were Vespa rides
with dad,
and papa.
A great trip!
