The party of all parties for Todd Pedersen

At the beginning of November Sean and I were invited to a party honoring Todd Pedersen. Todd is the founder of Vivint, where Sean worked for 17 years, and someone Sean considers a friend. Todd has had a major influence in our lives and we will forever be grateful to him. This party black tie and it was fun getting all dressed up!

It was the grandest party we have ever, and likely will ever, attend. It was seriously such a fun night. The party took place at the Pedersen's airport hanger and was decorated to the hilt. With Sean's recent departure from Vivint, it was a lot of fun to run into and chat with lots of current and past Vivint friends and colleagues.

The night started with dinner, curated by none other than Wolfgang Puck, who made an appearance on stage to describe the menu to us. It was an unforgettable meal. There were ingredients flown in from Spain for the salad, and wagyu beef flown in from Japan!

The tributes to Todd were touching and well deserved. We felt honored to be invited to such an amazing event. He has done a lot of good for a lot of people, and has positively impacted our family in many ways.

After dinner, Band of Horses put on a concert and they were fantastic. We were surprised and shocked when all of the sudden it was announced Justin Bieber was next and he strolled on stage (complete with a scarf over his head)! Sean and I were seated at a table right at the front next to the stage, so we honestly just stood up and turned around and were on the front row! He was amazing live and it was sort of surreal to have him at times literally inches away from us. He shook our hands multiple times during his performance. So much fun!

Sean's hand, haha!

The man of the night!

It was an unforgettable night to honor an unforgettable man. Sean and I were a bit surprised when we learned the next day that a picture of us had been posted on Justin Bieber's instagram account! It's our brief claim to fame!

Halloween

We had another great Halloween! The kids each picked their costumes and I thought they were all really cute. Jackson wore a ghillie suit, Davis was Miguel from the movie "Coco", Molly was Hermione from Harry Potter, and Bode was Ralphie from "A Christmas Story."

Charlie wore this ghost costume just long enough for a few pictures (with a little bribing).

The Halloween parade was so fun and I was happy they could have it in person again after it was virtual for Covid the year before.

I helped with the Halloween class party for Molly's class, which was a lot of fun.

I had to giggle when I was headed home and snuck a peak of a little "Miguel" doing his class work! :)

Earlier in the month I dressed up as Post Malone for Halloween bunco and it was quite the hit! It took forever to put on all of those temporary tattoos. I didn't recreate the look for Halloween night-- didn't want to scare the kids too much! haha

Halloween night was per the usual where I started with the younger kids and Sean passed out treats. The boys were all very excited to trick or treat and see who could get the most candy. Sean ordered a Dumbledore wig to go with Molly's Harry Potter theme, but he walked out instead looking like this!

Jackson and some buddies ready to hit the neighborhood.

Molly's cute crew.

Bode and his squad ready to go! Davis headed off with friends before I could catch a picture!

Until next year!
