Other highlights from Kellogg, ID

We decided to stay at the Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg due to its proximity to the Route of the Hiawatha. They have an indoor waterpark we thought the kids would enjoy, and it turned out to be a great decision. The kids loved it and were able to swim the night we arrived, as well as after we rode the trail. It was quite the place! A flow rider, lots of indoor slides, and a lazy river.

This family tube ride was so fun!

The boys (including Sean) all loved riding the flow rider.

Before checking out, we took a trip up the gondola at the resort to check out the ski terrain. The gondola is the world's longest single stage gondola! It was a long ride up but really pretty and beautiful at the top.

We also rode one of the lifts at the top and were impressed with all of the wildflowers-- particularly the huge patches of Indian paintbrush!

After that, we set out for the next leg of our trip-- Coeur d'Alene!
