Bode turns 10!

Bode had a great birthday this year. It was fun having a party with friends again after having to skip last year. He wanted to do a movie party, so we rented out a theater and invited a bunch of friends. I feel fortunate Bode has so many friends. He's made a lot of new friends this past year and I am grateful for all of them!

 

On his actual birthday, we went out to dinner (Teppanyaki, his choice). We had it arranged to where when we got home and opened the garage door, he'd see his birthday present. He was so surprised when we opened the door and he saw a new dirt bike! He has been wanting one forever and was SO excited when he saw it. We actually bought another one, one size bigger for Jackson also. Before Jackson even saw the other one, I was really impressed with how excited he was for Bode, not knowing he was getting one, too. 

Bode requests the same chocolate bundt cake every year and I happily oblige the cute birthday boy.

Bode is our larger-than-life, always moving, happy-go-lucky kid. He adds so much fun and color to our family and keeps us all from taking ourselves too seriously. He's so smart and naturally driven and one of those kids that is a natural at so many things. He's a beast on any field, makes friends with anyone, and we really love him around here.
