Moab- Fisher Towers hike

Our family decided to take a day trip to Moab during President's Day weekend to go hiking. I'm always a bit amazed at the fact that our family can drive down and back in a day to so many awesome places. I had found the Fisher Towers hike online beforehand and wanted to check it out. Charlie even got to come along since dogs are allowed on this trail. It felt so good to be outside and hiking again! I'd been missing it a lot and it was such a great hike. We were all very wowed with the scenery and it was a fun trail with views in every direction.

After the hike we decided to drive a bit of the Hell's Revenge trail. It had us all (well, not Sean) a bit nervous! At one point I was laughing pretty hard because three of the four kids were in the back seat crying because they were so nervous. We all survived! After a stop at a taco truck for dinner, we headed for home. The kids were definitely worn out! Love these little adventures with the fam.

Valentine's Day

Valentines Day was a lot of fun this year. I was impressed I was able to figure out a heart braid hairstyle for Molly, and she looked so cute in her pink Nike track suit!

The boys with their Valentines boxes for class. We do the same thing almost every year, but they still love it and it is easy, so win-win!

Molly was the only one with a "Valentine" this year. She and her friend Hayes always give each other a little gift.

We've started a tradition of cooking a really nice steak dinner at home for the whole family on Valentine's Day, and it is one of my favorite traditions! We always give the kids a coupon book, though this year I just printed it out on one big sheet of paper. They always get pretty excited about these.

Grateful for all of these people I love so much!

California/Disneyland day 3

Next up was Disneyland! It happened to also be my birthday and I really loved spending the day there. We had such beautiful weather.

I was a little worried about making it onto the Rise of the Resistance Star Wars ride, especially when it was closed at the very beginning of the day, but we were able to get on that morning without too long of a wait and the boys ended up riding it again at the end of the night!

`
We loved the whole Star Wars area. It was cool seeing something completely new in the park!

We rode all of our favorite rides, ate some of our favorite treats, and had such a great a day together!

The best thing I ate in the parks! The raspberry Mickey macaron.

I was so happy It's a Small World was open. The last few times we've been to Disneyland it has been closed. I thought Molly would love it, and she did!

Jackson and I ran and rode Indiana Jones one more time at the end of the night before meeting up with the  rest of the family and riding Astro Blasters. It's a tradition to have Astro Blasters be our final ride!

As a souvenir, each of our kids picked out a nuiMO and outfit (except Davis, who actually got a Yoda that sits on your shoulder using magnets).

It was an awesome trip, start to finish. I love the uninterrupted family time together. It gets trickier and trickier finding a window that works with all of the different schedules and activities, but I am so glad we made it happen!
