Congrats to Sean for being accepted to the University of Utah’s law school! I’ve been waiting to let him make a post, but he just hasn’t had time and gave me the green light to do it instead. His acceptance letter said this was the most competitive entering class the U has ever had, which makes me even more proud of him. We are beyond excited! He’d narrowed his top choices down to Utah and DePaul (in Chicago). He’d been accepted and offered two scholarships to DePaul, and we’d actually already paid for his seat deposit there since it took Utah forever to make it through their applications (apparently admissions at the U were up a lot this year). We are so happy to be staying in our home and excited for this new chapter in life to begin.
It’s nice to actually have a plan in place now. I feel like we’ve been living by the seat of our pants ever since we’ve been married-- never knowing where we were going to be next and moving every summer. We’ve both loved that lifestyle, seeing all sorts of new places and meeting new people, but I think both of us are ready to stay put for awhile and give up some of the madness. We talked about how we’d be fine moving to Chicago (especially since we’ve already lived there and we really do love it) but how much we would miss some of the things from home—skiing/snowboarding, family close by, my job, American Fork Canyon, Sean’s dirt bike, friends, our ward etc. We’ll just have to take a trip to Chicago every once in awhile—if only to stuff our faces with Lou Malnatis pizza!
Anyway, congrats Sean! You’re going to make one awesome patent attorney!

Congrats Sean! Yay for staying in Utah! We're glad you guys will be there since we will be too! That really is awesome! I bet you are so excited to actually know what the plan is for the next few years at least. I know how that goes!
Congratulations!...even though I was secretly hoping you'd go to Chicago since it's a whole lot closer to us ;) But we're really happy for you and it will be nice to not have to rent your place, etc. How exciting! It's going to be quite the change having to cheer for the red team now though!
Yeah!! Thats so exciting. How nice to know where you'll be now. I know how crazy that can be. I feel it right now, since we soon have to make plans to go somewhere and who knows where that is!
Yay! Congrats to Sean! It definately is nice to have a plan now! I know what ya mean about not knowing what you're going to be doing the next year. It's nice that you'll be able to stay in your house, and that you know what you'll be doing for the next few years or so. Congrats again!!
That's wonderful news!!! Congratulations to you both! That is really nice that you'll get to stay in your home!
