Soccer

A friend from our new neighborhood let me know they were putting together a team for fall soccer. Jackson had never played, but was very excited about it so we went to sign him up. Unfortunately by the time we got to the rec center, the team was full! The poor kid was heart broken about not being on a team with his new friends. By some miracle, a few weeks later, a spot opened up and he was able to join the team after all!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was honestly so much fun. Jackson LOVED it. He was pretty timid at first in getting into the middle of the action, but towards the end of the season he really started getting into it. His whole objective from the beginning was to score a goal, so when he finally did, he was beaming!
Not only did he score his first goal this game, he score his second also! We took him to pick out a treat to celebrate and he chose an ice-cream Snickers bar-- smart kid!

Jackson and some of his new neighborhood buddies on the team :)

A few action shots

He scored another goal at the end of his last game. It was a great way to end the season!

We're already looking forward to next year!
