Molly turns 3!

Molly is somehow now da big three year old! We had so much fun celebrating her birthday this year. It was a day filled with unicorns and all of the girly things she loves. We did a very low-key party for she and a couple of her friends from the neighborhood and she was so excited about it. She had been talking about her birthday for months. The kids all played pin the horn on the unicorn, colored wooden unicorn cutouts, played musical chairs (which we learned is not a good game for 3-year-olds! haha) and had a unicorn piñata.

The boys had to "help" get the piñata moving along :)

I decided to take a shot at making her a unicorn cake like all of the ones I've seen floating around online.  I thought it turned out really cute! She loved it, and I am so happy.

We saved the cake for our family and we made these little rainbow cupcakes for she and her friends for the party.

After her party we went to dinner as a family to Cubby's. She chose it specifically for the mac and cheese. After dinner, we headed home to open presents where she got a cute new unicorn backpack, coloring book and sparkle crayons, and some cute new necklaces, bracelets, and sticker earrings from her dad.

It was finally time to eat the cake! Of course it was pink inside for our pink-loving girl.

Molly's 3-year questionnaire:

We are so grateful for this birthday girl! She brings so much joy into our family and home.

A few additional notes on Molly:
-Says "fowlers" for flowers.
-Gets so excited every time we are leaving Costco and she sees the big poster for Disneyland because Minnie mouse is on it.
-In the 90th percentile for height.
-Is still very shy with people she doesn't know very well, but just in the last few weeks or so she is really starting to come out of her shell and has an easier time saying hi and waving at people.
-Loves to sing and carries her little microphone around the house
-Always falls asleep in her bed at bedtime, but sneaks into our room in the middle of the night.
