Jackson's birthday party

With Jackson's birthday falling on a Sunday this year, we got to celebrate his birthday over two days. We got home from a weekend at our friend's cabin on Sunday morning. After church, we made Jackson a cake (chocolate on chocolate) and he picked spaghetti and meatballs for his birthday dinner. He opened up his birthday presents and was really excited about getting a hobby-grade RC car like Bode's. The two boys have had fun driving their cars together.

We had a birthday party for Jackson on Monday, and he chose to have his party at Lowe's Airports again this year. It was much more crowded than when we went on Christmas Eve, but the boys didn't seem to mind. I love that all I have to do is show up with cupcakes and the rest is taken care of!

We're lucky to live in a neighborhood with a lot of boys his age and where friends come easily. There was quite the snow storm while we were at the gym and driving all of the boys home from Provo was a bit nerve wracking, but we made it!

We finished the night by going out to dinner at his favorite restaurant, Tucanos. I'm always grateful to have Jackson's birthday to look forward to after Christmas. I think he had a great birthday and we had fun celebrating him!
